Role Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, the Supply Chain Manager is responsible for:

  • Owning the performance management and development of suppliers, within the Facilities Management categories in Bellrock
  • Reporting supplier feedback to the Head of Procurement to support the further development of Supply Chain strategy
  • Working with the Procurement Coordinator and Head of Procurement to identify high performing suppliers and negotiating their addition to the Tier 1 supplier list
  • Ensuring on a monthly basis, suppliers perform in accordance with both Bellrock and Bellrock client requirements
  • To act as next point of escalation for supplier underperformance after Operations and escalate on to Procurement as necessary
  • Driving a best practice approach to supply chain management within Bellrock
  • To manage the formal performance and risk management plans of all providers
  • To assess the risk of existing suppliers and, the risk of any new suppliers prior to seeking Head of Procurement approval to onboard them
  • Maintaining and driving a consistent and professional approach to supply chain management and cross-functional working practices
  • Developing strong internal relationships, securing sponsorship and confidence in Supply Chain management from its stakeholders
  • To ensure procurement savings are delivered and followed through to by suppliers and operational teams
  • To maintain a supplier database/register which provides details of their category and service capabilities
  • Assist in mobilisations to ensure suppliers are onboarded and mobilised efficiently
  • Support in identifying the best fit supply chain model for the bid team
  • To undertake the processes required for ensuring procurement savings are delivered by monitoring and managing the application of agreed savings by suppliers and Operational teams

Qualifications & Experience

We stress the importance of having a good technical understanding of the ‘facilities – hard services’ category with sufficient technical knowledge to manage an extremely broad range of suppliers within a complex environment and with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • BIFM Level 3 is desirable but not essential
  • Institute of Supply Chain Management Level 3 is desirable but not essential
  • At least 5 years within a supply chain management role, managing facilities and/or building maintenance/fabrication suppliers
  • A good demonstrable level of technical and commercial understanding of the category, along with an in-depth knowledge of the supply markets
  • Demonstrable knowledge of owning a supplier management and performance measurement across hard and soft FM
  • Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional team working in the context of a central supplier management function
  • Very strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Structured and data-driven approach to project management;
  • Very strong project management skills
  • Evidence of working within a continuous improvement culture, with a strong customer focus
  • Experience of retail, education and healthcare property environments would be beneficial
  • Experience of representing a supply chain management function to an external customer, in support of a tender process/within a bid environment, would be beneficial
