Technology-enabled workplace solutions company, Bellrock, has been appointed as lead project managers, heading a team of architectural, structural, cost management and building services professionals for the turnkey delivery of a new three storey teaching block at Tudor Grange, Solihull. This project is part of a number of changes being made to the site to accommodate an increase in intake of 150 students for the next academic year.

Bellrock will be mobilising the site during the autumn half term to minimise disruption, working to a 40-week deadline for completion in August 2019.

The new teaching block is the second phase of the expansion works. Bellrock has already delivered the total refurbishment and extension of the Terrace Restaurant, including the serve over area, kitchen and seating areas, to double the capacity and upgrade the facilities.

David Smith, CEO, Bellrock, commented: “We are pleased that Tudor Grange Academies Trust has selected us to manage this significant development to the school in Solihull. This follows an extremely busy period for our building and project management team. They have completed over £3 million of work in a three-month period delivering projects from classroom refurbishments, to specifying and implementing building management systems and new security measures such as access control systems, and creating new car parking areas. The multi-disciplined team is responsible for building a business case for capital works as well as managing and executing within tight timeframes and budgets in the education and healthcare sectors.”

The team worked on a similar scale of project, converting spaces for mammogram and CT specialist.
